FCC USA Shines at 2nd Annual Empoderamiento Juvenil in Puerto Rico

FCC USA had the distinct honor of participating for the second time in the 2nd Annual Empoderamiento Juvenil hosted by CADCA Coalitions in Rincon, Puerto Rico. This extraordinary event, powered by the Opioid Network Response, brought together organizations dedicated to empowering youth and fostering community well-being.

FCC was extended a warm invitation to share our trauma-informed approach and strategies aimed at preventing drug addiction and promoting emotional regulation among young individuals through our program.

We take immense pride in joining hands with fellow advocates to raise awareness and provide education on opioids and addiction. Moreover, we're committed to uplifting facilitators who are unwavering in their dedication to nurturing healthy and thriving youth. These young individuals, with the knowledge and resilience they gain, are destined to become advocates and activists, championing positive change in their own communities throughout Puerto Rico.

We believe that knowledge is power, and that's why we place a strong emphasis on raising awareness and educating youth about opioids and addiction. Our programs incorporate informative sessions, open dialogues, and interactive activities that equip young individuals with the information and tools needed to make informed choices.

Beyond education, we actively support and uplift facilitators who are devoted to nurturing healthy and thriving youth. These dedicated mentors work hand in hand with us to instill core values, including teamwork, discipline, respect, and resilience, through the medium of sports, especially soccer.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone involved for their invaluable support and collaboration in making a difference. Together, we're creating a brighter future for our youth and the communities they call home!
